Works good. Sometimes its difficult to watch content without downloading.

Ive had four audio books on hoopla. I would rather get the actual books but it wasnt possible. This app worked but only with a lot of trial, error and frustration. The bookmark sometimes worked. Most frustrating was the fact that while listening it would suddenly just stop, with no sound. First it took an hour to come back. The last time 14 hours. In other words not at all reliable.

Titles automatically return. I hate the 10 title limit. Even if I returned all my titles, I still cant borrow anymore as I reached my max!!!! And cant re-borrow what was automatically returned, as I reached my limit. HATE IT!!!!!!!

This is the best app EVER!! !!!!!!!

I love the download option for audiobooks

Good: Its free to e-borrow stuff after you logged in with your library account. Each library offers different terms and conditions (mine only allow 8 borrows per month). Selection is not so bad - I looked for Prince music and Woody Allen movies and its all there. Bad: Hello! This is 2016 and this App feels like 2010. It freezes. Multitasking is limited - you hit play to listen to an album and only few songs are played before you need to reach out for your phone again. UI/UX can be much better. Apple AirPlay is lacking. Im using iOS 9.3.x on iPhone 6. This app can be so great if some more work is done on it.

I listen to books when Im cooking, getting ready to go out and in the evening as I fall asleep. I even listen when I wake up in the middle of the night and cant get back to sleep. Sometimes the bookmarks dont work automatically. I make sure to add them frequently so I can manually get to where I was.

App design is simple and meets the purpose. The app will be more useful if I can resume watch video or audio book on different devices like kindle or iBooks apps.

The Hoopla app will not work for streaming audiobooks. It will play for a few seconds, and then stop. Restarting the app gets you the next few seconds only. I have recommended that my library drop Hoopla - seems a waste of limited funds.

After a horrible set of problems signing up in the first place and after perusing through their catalog, I attempted to “borrow” items 10 times and kept on being told “This content is not currently offered by your library.” Seriously. 0 for 10. My library is a part of a network where I can get audiobooks, cd’s, blu-rays, and offers tons of other content on OverDrive (though it’s a very clunky program) INCLUDING content that Hoopla says is “not currently offered” through my library despite being offered through my library on OverDrive. You name it, OverDrive has it; Hoopla doesn’t. And for the record, I have absolutely not tie to OverDrive besides being a user. Thus far, the only thing that has worked for me from Hoopla has been the book mark my library handed out which got me curious enough to waste an hour looking into Hoopla.

I decided to try this app again after deleting it due to flaws. Obviously, the company doesnt read their reviews because the errors are still there. Often when you come back to a partially read book, it is reset to the beginning. Also, trying to find the correct restart position is a hopeless adventure. Im deleting this app again.

I love the idea of this app and (mostly) how it works. Ive used it for audiobooks and have been able to take out books that werent available (for free) elsewhere to read for a book club. My only issue has been a problem noted by others: the app resets the book to the beginning when you exit completely out of it on your device. And, its difficult to find your place again after that happens because the content bar is so small. Otherwise, Im happy with this app.

Cmon, somebody step up and fix the bugs. How can libraries use such s bad app??!

Downloaded the app, but keep getting error message that my email and password are not recognized.

Many times, when paused due to call on iPhone or manual pause, the book starts completely over, hard to find my place, very frustrating!

I was truly amazed by the extent of the library selection available and the various formats. As an avid listener of audiobooks, Hoopla offers tremendous value. The game changer for access to culture. Unfortunately, there are bugs in the app which makes it crash very often. I reboot often does the job but that can be frustrating especially if you are in our car driving or on the bike. Anyway, I hope this major issue to be fixed so I can change my rating to five stars.

My Los Angeles Public Library membership gives me 15 free rentals on Hoopla. That is a lot of entertainment. The app works great. I couldnt be happier with this deal. Im wondering what the problem is for all these folks giving the app a bad review. It works perfectly for me, but disclaimer: I dont listen to audio books. It seems like everyones problems are with the audio books.

I enjoy listing and reading books. I am able to get a variety of books.

The app crashes all of the time on my phone, but the free content is awesome. Ive saved tons of money on audiobooks because of this app.

My only complaint is that the reader is not very sophisticated compared to Apple iBooks reader.
